Work Order Automation

A Young Enterprises workflow product for teams that receive recurring work orders by email and need a structured Google Sheets process for intake, status, evidence, and completion.

What the app does

Email-to-work-order operations in a customer-controlled Google environment.

Work Order Automation uses a customer-configured Gmail search to identify relevant work-order messages, extracts the operational details needed for the workflow, and records lifecycle state in the Google Sheet where the app is installed.

  • Search and read work-order email needed for intake and lifecycle updates
  • Create and update structured work-order records in the current Google Sheet
  • Mark messages read after controlled processing
  • Run scheduled email checks when the customer enables automation
  • Store optional photo evidence in a customer-owned Google Drive location
  • Send or forward completion information only when that feature is configured

Current operating model

Controlled installation and least-privilege design.

The product is currently offered as a managed pilot. Customer Google accounts and assets remain customer-controlled. Access is requested only for product features that require Google services, and the authorization design is reviewed against least-privilege requirements before broader distribution.

No permanent Gmail deletion: Work Order Automation does not require or intentionally perform immediate permanent deletion of Gmail messages.

Optional photo-upload links use application-level signed authorization and save evidence to the configured customer-owned Drive destination.
